Description
From mentioned reasons we believe in purposefulness and future development as well as larger sales of the full suspension (FSX) bicycles so we launched into the market for the model year 2011 two completely new carbon frame platforms of full suspension frames though having the same model designations as in 2010: A-RAY and ERA. Both frames utilize four-pivot construction. Of course, each frame is designed separately having its own specific goal. Springing lowers the transmission of oscillatory motions (vibrations) induced by the ride over the terrain irregularities which are transmitted to the frame or rider’s body in the hard tail bicycle. Springing thus protects the rider against undesirable shocks and the frame from excessive mechanical stress. Reduced vibration levels generally increase the riding comfort which is positively reflected in a reduced rider fatigue and, as a result, in the improved riding safety. Structural elements of ERA frame platforms 1. Generally more robust and resistant carbon frame with larger tube cross sections in TRAIL CONCEPT style. 2. The four-pivot mechanism with 130 mm of the rear wheel travel. 3. The universal “trail” geometry optimized for the longer rides in more demanding terrain allows its application for XC marathons as well. 4. More massive, resistant and rigid linkage connecting optically the seat stay and top frame tube. 5. The widening seat stay with the direct disc brake Post Mount (PM) prepared as standard for 7” discs will assure the rear stay’s rigidity. 6. Strutting of the bottom eyelet of 190 mm shock-absorber directly into the BB shell.
