Frame geometry comparison of AUTHOR 2011 models with 2010 on high end models
For the year 2011, we stay with the geometry for high end models Magnum, Introvert and Master from MY 2010. Due to coming down with the same frame we also use it for models MODUS and REVOLT.
We developed a new racing geometry for this new frame. We have reflected our own experiences as well as comments and suggestions from race riders of our sponsored MTB teams (Alpine Pro AUTHOR TEAM and AUTHOR MASTERS). The frame will be offered once again in four sizes, yet this time in regular frame size intervals and the extension of the range that will be able to cater for greater range of population: sizes 16.0; 17.5; 19 and 20.5” will replace the existing sizes 16.5; 17.5; 19.0 and 20”.
In general, the new geometry provides a longer, extended seat and decreased head tube angle for better riding control.
A shorter (420 mm long - therefore more rigid rear stay), remain. The BB drop dimension for better terrain passability, also stays the same as on last year frames.
Further increase in rigidity and strength of the frame is secured by the head tube compatible with 1.5” taper fork's steerer tube and the Bottom Bracket shell compatible with dimension BB30.
