Due to the weight reason and higher side stiffness we had been coming out with the 2nd generation of carbon frames and we stay with this one also for a model ear 2011. The reason to stay is that we are absolutely satisfied.

author karbon roadThe prime property of carbon is the absorption of roughness, shocks, but naturally, also ower weight and the chance to arbitrarily shape all tube profiles. Another advantage of carbon material is it's high stiffness, strength and lower extent of the atigue compare to duralumin.

The frame has been made applying the AUTHOR MONOCOQUE CARBON TECHNOLOGY. This is, in fact the connection of the front triangle to the chain and seat stays. This ecures a more robust, stiffer and the safest possible connection. We had based the design of the II generation frame shape partially on its predecessor - the CA7707 road model. The high comfort rate is secured by the CARBON FLEX STAY DESIGN of the seat stay, which has even smaller cross section since 2010. Novelty is also using he UD (Uni Directional) carbon outlook layer, so no more 3K woven.

For another side stiffness and frame strength is the head tube compatible with 1,5” taper fork's steerer tube. That means 1 1/8” upper and 1,5” lower directly embeded bearings.

Advantages of 1.5“Taper Forkś Steerer tube:

  1. more balanced distribution of the flexural stress in the taper fork steerer tube
  2. lower weight of column (by 20-30 g) over the 1.5“ or 1 1/8“ version
  3. more optimum (larger) column diameter in the point of fixing

New is also applying the alloy stickers on the chain stay and down tube to protect the frame tubes from chain's falling of the chainwheels.
