Miroslav Vraštil

From 1963 to 1984 Miroslav Vraštil has devoted his time to rowing. He won the silver medal in the eight-man rowing Open European Championship in 1973 (now the World Championship), placed 6th at the Montreal Olympic Games in eight-man rowing, placed 5th at the Moscow Olympic Games in doubles without a cox, and was in many finals placing worst in 5th at the World Championship.

9-time competitor in World Championships, 2-time competitor in European Championships, 3-time competitor in the Olympic Games.

In 2007, he competed for the first time in the Ironman in South African – Port Elizabeth and placed third in the 55 – 59 age category and acquired a slot for starting at the Kona 2007 Ironman race in Hawaii.

From 2007, he has only competed in Ironman competitions and their offshoots.
